It’s that time again, and we would like to start this by sending a special “THANK YOU” to everyone that has made it possible to donate over $60,000 to the Star Legacy Foundation in Zayne’s Memory since 2016.

As most of you know, we started Zayne’s Anchor of Hope in 2015 after our full term, highly anticipated baby boy was born still just 5 short days before his expected due date.  After welcoming our second baby boy last year and discovering that he also had a true knot in his umbilical cord, we have never been more certain that God’s plan for us is to continue to share Zayne’s story.  We have personally seen the difference that awareness and education on these things can make and truly understand the importance of educating and supporting other families during pregnancy.

We truly believe that God had a greater plan for Zayne.  We cannot accept that God sent us this perfect baby, only to take him away before we even got to meet him without having a reason for doing so.  As Zayne’s parents, we do NOT believe that his story is over.  We believe that God intended his life for a reason and that God is using us to help make a difference.  Our HOPE for Zayne’s Anchor of Hope, is not only to honor Zayne’s memory, but also to honor all the lives of babies taken too soon due to pregnancy or infant loss.  Our HOPE is that these events will provide funds to make a difference in the statistics of infant and pregnancy loss, and that unborn babies can be saved from incidents that we believe are preventable with the proper research, monitoring and detection.  Our HOPE is that eventually these needless tragedies will be prevented and unheard of, so that no family must tell a story like Zayne’s.

We continue to be humbled by the love and support we have received over the last three and a half years as we have navigated this heartbreaking journey.  All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Star Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This organization is dedicated to stillbirth awareness, research, education, prevention and family support. Star Legacy Foundation is a community of parents, families, and friends of stillborn babies who are dedicated to reducing the number of families impacted by stillbirth, a needless tragedy.
